DAY ONE – IFL Journey Track Overview
Sunday, June 28
10:00 am – 4:00 pm : Choose Your Own Journey Track
Fundamentals of OfficerShip
A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step…as a new FBLA leader, congratulations on taking that first step! This track is designed to equip aspiring or new local/state officers with everything they need to know about leading FBLA, including goal setting, program of work planning, membership recruitment, competition prep, and more.
You’ll also explore your own personal leadership and learn how to grow yourself as a leader as well as unleash leadership in others. By investing your time in building these foundations in your leadership and experience, you’ll be able to create an epic journey for all of the members you serve!
As an experienced traveler, you may be looking to join life in the fast lane. For FBLA members who have served as an FBLA officer before and understand the core of what officers do, it’s time to take your leadership to the next level! This track is designed for experienced officers who are seeking or serving another term of office at the local, state, and/or national level. Officers will be challenged to take their FBLA leadership experience and go deeper into organizational growth and ambassadorship, public relations, fund development, next level meeting facilitation, and more.
Every journey calls for a reliable map to guide you to your destination, but more importantly, it calls for a strong planner, communicator, and leader to use that map wisely. The Project Management Track will teach you vision planning, goal setting, customer-experience mapping, situational analysis, metrics and reporting, and strategic thinking. You will leave with a project GPS system to help you communicate, delegate, empower, and inspire your team to execute all the projects that are sure to come in your business journey!
Entrepreneurship (Two-Day Experience)
Take an exciting adventure into entrepreneurship! This track is designed to help you turn your great idea into a successful new enterprise. You and your team will develop an idea, outline a business plan road map, and pitch your idea to accomplished entrepreneurs. Pack your bags for the twists and turns of taking a business from point concept to corporation with the innovative minds in the Entrepreneurship Track!
The Adviser 100X Journey (Advisers Only)
Pyramids were built to endure an eternity…and with the pyramids being among the oldest wonders of the world standing, they achieved just that. Advisers will journey with our experienced FBLA specialists to explore the FBLA Chapter Success Pyramid. For over 25 years, our team of alumni, former business educators, and industry professionals have developed content for and mentored FBLA advisers to help them lead their local chapter and students to success in their business and leadership journey. The “100X” component of the adviser journey is designed to help advisers reach closer to “100% leadership health” and then learn the techniques to multiply leadership.
