Introducing the FBLA State Officer Summit!

The FBLA State Officer Summit is a two hour long interactive event on May 6, 2021 designed to engage incoming and outgoing state officers with workshops, networking, Q&As (one with Alexander T. Graham, FBLA-PBL President & CEO!), and fun activities with prizes. The FBLA State Officer Summit will serve as a reward for those that are finishing their service as officers and a motivator for those taking on new leadership roles. The FBLA State Officer Summit also allows for a good transition between officer teams, networking among members, and a headstart for the next membership year. Officers will have the opportunity to attend a variety of live workshops throughout the night.

Scott Mathie

Scott is from a small town in Utah (like less than 2,000 people small) and has been working as a Higher Education Professional for over five years. His work has heavily focused on working with students. His passion is working with tomorrow’s leaders, and his leadership workshops have been an incredible way to do that.

Early in his career, Scott found himself getting pulled away from providing the students with the leadership development training and resources he felt they needed to truly catapult their careers by other aspects of my responsibilities. He searched online for an online resource that had leadership training geared towards students and couldn’t find anything, so he began building one himself!

Now, Scott has the amazing opportunity to travel the country, speaking with students from all parts of the United States at Leadership conferences for State and National Organizations. Better yet, he furthers those relationships online. The Nix Your Limits Leadership Academy provides an incredible network for students, and by doing virtual workshops, leadership marketing, and more.

Workshop Title: Nix Your Limits – How You Can Bring “Tomorrow” Closer to Today

Workshop Description: What are you doing today to make your tomorrow better? Too many students are limiting themselves by not realizing that today is when you start building your best tomorrow – and as a State Officer you have the perfect opportunity to do just that. This entertaining, thought-proving, and motivating message will help you know how to Nix Your Limits! The person you want to be tomorrow is based on who you are trying to be today, so what are we waiting for!?

Alexander T. Graham

Prior to joining Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) as the President & CEO, Alex served as the chief executive officer of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC).
